Default TR's Raptr Cam on a 6.0 LS2

Hi folks,
I'm in the midst of choosing a cam for my new to me 06' Goat. I've researched a few shops sites, and of course seen enough youtube videos until my eyes explode.
Does any of us GTO owners run this cam? heard this cam with Spintech Exhaust? will a 3600 stall, and ported LS2 intake suffice for now?

The car is 100% factory untouched, so I'm just trying to gauge opinions before I bite the bullet and purchase.
Upcoming mods as follows
1. Long Tubes
2. Spintech Super Pro Streets
3. Ported LS2 (later a LSX 92/92 combo)
4. Lingenfelter CAI
5. 3.91 gears (upcoming, hopefully before the new year)
6. 3600 stall (will go in the car as cam does)
7. camshaft (Raptr, VRX5, Torquer V.3, TSP 228R)
So, asides all of that, I'm looking for 400 rear. Heads will come next year in the Spring.

I don't think that is the advice that he's looking for.

OP, I don't have a GTO but I run this cam in my camaro and love it. Sounds great, and pulls like a raped ape. BTW, I don't know a lot about the GTO, but doesn't the 06 already come stock with 400 hp?

EDIT: Just noticed you were wanting rwhp, sorry.

1) Go with Kooks or American Racing
2)The mufflers are just a matter of opinion really. If you've heard spintechs in person and like them go for it.
3)Shoot me a PM about the ported intake
4)hop over to ls1gto.com and look up "Svede OTRCAI" I had one of the LPE type CAI's and gained a significant amount just by switching.
5)since you're an auto go with the 3.73s. The 3.91's will "mess up" the gears for the 1/4mile
6)Yup
7)again....bounce over to ls1gto.com and search "NSSP Cam" from Complete street performance

I think if you go through with all this, with you being an auto should definitely hit 400 after the cam. Most are around 370-380 (with a stall, gears, and full bolt ons)

Really though are you looking for numbers on a time slip or dyno numbers?
My buddy is just an stalled auto, full bolt ons about 370whp running 11.9x's

I searched it on google, and noticed New Era Performance has some, stating 16HP without a tune. They look nice also. I recently called 21st Century Muscle cars here in Dallas, Lingenfelter's shop.. and they don't even stock the CAI for LS2's..I found that quite odd..haha..anyway.. I think you're suggestion has possibly swayed my decision. Thank You

Message sent!
btw, Are those Weld Pro Stars on your goat?, I was into the TSW Montage (black/polished lips) or saving up for some FM5 Fikse's. A major difference in price there.
Are you getting that OTRCAI setup soon? please keep me posted on your results.

I just saw the link you posted here. Thats a great improvement. I don't think I'll run it at the track, but I just want all around great power off the line. Impressive stuff!

Hi Kevin,
Do you happen to have a video somewhere's with your car camming away?
I don't want to go too small with a cam, and end up unhappy
I want a nice radical idle (high flow cats), but have a cam that can back up it's bark with some nice bite if you know what I mean

Yessir!

I just run the gunmetal stock 17's for everyday driving.
Here's a better pic for ya.

Can i get the 17's or 18's in gunmetal through GM or did you get them powder coated. I had black ZR-1's on my T/A and got tons of compliments. I think they'd look killer on the Spice Red Metallic.

No I don't, sorry. I can try to get one up for you later tonight. BTW, a 3600 stall is good, but you really need to go a bit steeper for this cam. I am going to go bigger at the beginning of the year.

I actually did them myself.
Took about 2-3 hours for each wheel. I wanted them to turn out good not like some idiot just "painted" them.

GM only has them in the stock silver.
