What kind of power could should I expect out of a good running lq4 with a 02-04 z06 cam and ls6 intake?

I wouldn't expect to pick up a ton of power there. Maybe 10-15 to the rear wheels. With the dish in the LQ4 the best thing you can do is change out the stock head for something with a smaller chamber and get some more compression in the motor.

I would hope to get somewhere around 400hp to the crank? And the reason I'm going with the lq4 is the eventual plan to boost the motor. However much it makes before I boost it, it should still be fun in a little 2wd s10 with a 6sp.

im new to this ls game.i have a stock 2001 lq4 out of a truck and i need to know what i have to do to make 400 crank hp so i can put it in my 69 camaro.im looking for something that would be great for pro-turing 20+ mpg

well the ls6 cam is a great boost cam. the truck intake flows a tad better than the ls6 manifold. if your going to boost then who cares what its making right now. typically in an ls1 people will see abt 20+hp and the intake usually adds abt 15hp. op is right though. if anything put the 317's to the side and get something with a smaller chamber like maybe a stock 5.3 and raise the compression until you do get ready to boost. hope this helped
