Default Anyone using a 100mm mass air??

I have a 402ci. i have a 85mm massair and 90th body on a fast 102mm. I was thinking of a 100mm massair and would like to know how it works? power gains? does it drive and idle good? Any down side to it? I'll also match the th-body too. Thanks, mike.

I have a Lingenfelter MAF sensor (100mm), but still run speed density because I'm too lazy to try and tune it. Anyhoo, the biggest issue I've found is that the IAT sensor on the card they use does not use the same calibration as the stock sensor, so the IATs will be pretty far off (it will read 10-20 degrees too high, and that can get you into areas of some tables that will start pulling timing on moderately warm days). HPTuners has included an IAT sensor calibration table in their latest beta offering, so I'm working on getting that ironed out.

Just something to be aware of.

I'm going to try the lingenfelter 100 maf on my car tomorrow. I didn't retune other than the tables provided w/ the maf so that may be an issue. I'm going to call them about the IAT issue mentioned by Steve. I going from a 85mm maf w/ the screen from slp.

The link Wasn't much of a help.. I already have a 85 mass and a 85mm lid. Now i'm interested in a 100mm mass to open it up more and avoid speed denc-tune. not sure if people in my town can do a good speed denc tune. The larger mass seems the way to go.

Don't have too much news. I tried it on the first run. The car seemed to have much better throttle response. Spun hard off the line, let off quickly, got back into it, spun hard again, let off quickly, got back into it finished the run. I was shocked to see a 1.755 60 foot time. My normal 60 foot time is in the 1.8-1.9 range. Felt funny at the top end so I got nervous and changed the tables back to the 85mm maf and installed the 85 mm maf. When I was changing the Maf I noticed that the maf had come out of the lid so that might of created my problem. Any way I ran a 11.11 at 130.66. The next run with the 85mm maf I ran 10.95 at 131.52 w/ a 1.83 60 foot time. It felt much smoother on the top end but the throttle response wasn't as strong. I need to complete my wide band install before I try the 100mm maf again.

Not too bad. I was told to get a speed den tune and lose the mass air for a 4'' pipe. If i knew the guy who tunes could do it right i would try it. So,i thought the 100mm massair is bigger and may be almost as good. Thanks.
