Ditch the LS6 cam if you're planning on keeping those short gears and not having overdrive you are gonna need alot more RPM than what the LS6 cam will support..... The LS6 will be done more or less by 6k. I switched from the LS6 cam on my stock LQ4 motor to an Ed Curtis/FlowTech Induction cam and gained a little over 100rwhp at the same boost and a TON of graph making power all the way to 7k. 60lbers will support a little over 700rwhp(750ish) with raised base fuel pressure. Those 3.9X rear gears are gonna suck without OD with boost. For instance with 3.73's my mustang ran out of gear right at the 1000ft mark on 28in tall tires at 136mph making only 655rwhp....

Let me know.

I am building a Lexus IS300. Here are some quick ways to lose weight:

If your seats are like mine then they weigh a ton
Sunroof was around 35 pounds I think
My doors are cut down to just the skins
The rest was a bunch of small stuff.

I have gutted my car and it still weighs 2920 with half a tank of gas and no driver.

Yeah, I have a full roll cage and race seats in the car now. I am still collecting parts for my swap so no engine bay work to speak of.
