Default Carbed LQ4/L92/Vic Jr/cam

Posted this already in the carbed section but thought it would get more views here...

224/232 on 109+1

10 degrees of overlap so it should have a nice hard hittin exhaust note. This should make it peak around 6000ish (40* IVC)and carry til shift point at 6300 and still have good midrange torque since the EVO is 46*. IVO and IVC are pretty close at 4* and 6*. Keep in mind this will be in a 4klb street car.

Opinions?

i got ly6 rotating parts in a GMPP 6.0L block (so i didnt have to change my harness) .070" milles l92's with a level one port work(polished runners, with more bowl work than anything) GMPP L92 intake(not as good as a victor jr) ultra low profile elbow, bullet custom grind cam 24x 24x 6xx 6xx 107lsa cam. PBM High rev lifters, stock rockers. It rev's to the moon(peak was 7500) and made power all the way to 8k where we could tune it any higher.

anyways it made 6xx at the flywheel, and has taken my 3820lb 6 speed car to 10.93 at 126 NA, 1.44 60ft.

so I personally think your cam is to small to make as much power as it can, but you didnt really say what you wanted to do with it....??

Wow, how're your heads holding up to that much milling? Was also not wanting to flycut unless I absolutely had to. Car is a weekend cruiser but still wants ***** to get down when needed. Not wanting to spin past 6500

heads are 3 years old now, and this combo has 2 straight years of abuse on it... so I would say A OK.

I have also had a little nitrous on it, 10.30's at 135. easy rich tune up so the stock pistons wouldnt disappear....

did you have any intake manifold fitment issues when milled that much? I'm assuming you had to flycut, do you remember how much?

milled the intake to fit. NO PORT WORK was done to the intake...

and I am pretty sure we went with .110" on the flycut, I got some extra room for a larger camshaft in the future....

Nice power, Bes! Good to see your combo with a "not so optimum" cam put 600 hp at the flywheel. Some of us here have been debating on how much cam these heads need and like to make excellent hp.
