Default 427 guys come on in

This spring I will be starting up my build for the 427 plan i have. I have been looking around for cost wise for having everything done, but i feel like i am missing something. I am thinking $15000 for the motor alone should be good, since i will have the drive train, rear end, brakes and suspension taken care of before i start on the motor. for those of you who have done this, what was the overall cost of the motor itself. If you don't want to say in public I would appreciate an email for it. TIA

Are you planning on doing the build yourself or ordering a completed engine from somewhere. 15 grand is quite a lot if your doing it yourself. I am currently building a 427 with an lsx bowtie block, forged bottom end, custom grind cam, new lifters, new timing chain, new roller rockers, push rods, heads, and fast 102 with bigger injectors and newer cpu since mines a 98. I will be under 10 grand but doing everything myself.

I plan on having someone do it since i live in hawaii and dont have the know how and /or time to do it. What kind of fab work are you going to have to do to get it to fit, if any at all?
