ms4 upgrade valve clearance with milled 243
Just got an Ms4 and am wondering how much I can mill down stock 243 heads and have enough valve clearance. Im just trying to get some decent factory ls6 heads to put on with the cam, nothing too expensive. Just hoping to get 10-20 from the heads. May get a ls6 intake as well. I currently have long tubes with no emission fittings and an x pipe. Its a 2000 with tremec, besides that it's stock with low miles. Also what size pushrods should I get? I cant figure it out.

Unless you are wanting to flycut, don't mill the heads. You can do a light clean-up mill but that will be it.
On pushrods, we normally send a 7.425" with those cams with everything else being stock. I would definitely recommend measuring to ensure everything is setup properly though.
Let us know if you have any other questions!

Ok everything will be stock except for springs of course, as long as my stock rockers are OK for use. Yeah really not trying to get things flycut, how much would a shop do that for anyway though.

Yeah stock rockers will be fine with that cam. Definitely upgrade springs and pushrods with the cam.
To flycut a car when we are doing a heads/cam install already, we charge $350 on top of everything else. Other shops are more and others are less. Just depends who is doing it.
