i just picked up an 04 gto, im wondering if theres any cam set ups that i can get with out having to replace the vavles, springs, push rods, etc...

im looking for a pretty mild cam but enough for a decent supercharger set up in the future.

Call the guys at Texas Speed and get some reccomendations. Im pretty sure any cam requires new springs and rods though. I would think it is even more important is you plan on any kind of forced induction later on. Im putting in a 228r in and Texas Speed sells a kit with cam, springs, rods, for about $600. Its the cheapest route to go unless you can find lightly used stuff.

I'm debating on the 228R or the Torquer V.2. Texas Speed has proven cams for these motors, and for me.. being in Dallas it'll get to my door in a day! But.. stupid sales tax..rofl.. o well.. Love their products. 228R on a 112 will thump pretty good, and is still a "mild" cam..at least to me.
Good Luck

you dont want a big lopey cam for a blower.

You'll lose power with a bunch of overlap when you're FI.
So dont just get a good N/A cam because its a whole different story with boost.

I'm actually wanting to go more towards the VRX5. I heard a GTO with Corsa Sport catted LT's that sounded damn nice. Definitely not a Blower friendly cam

Blower cam and wanting to keep the stock valvetrain you will be limited on off the shelf choices, all of the choices listed in this thread would not work well for your future build! Contact some sponsors and get setup correctly from the people who know what they are talking about. You may want to keep an open mind on upgrading springs and pushrods.

sounds like it might work. You should have like stock function and idle with that cam. It's mild for sure.

I agree with ChefTA....Plus those guys at TSP know their ****. If you told them what your goals are, I doubt they will send you in the wrong direction.
