Hahaha! I love how the OP gets flamed for this! Just like we do on a mustang forum after stuffing an LS1 in a stang! It would fit easily as the 5.0 is smaller than an LS or an LT1. It is an inferior motor by any spec than the other 2. Why not put a turbo 2.3 in it? Or a 4.0 v6? Hahahaha!

Is the 5.0 stock? If not why not sell it and buy a 6.0 to swap in? The hook up will be easier, the ignition will be the same (assuming it's an LS1 car), and it should bolt right up.

If it's a sixer, I'm sure motor mounts can be fabricated, but the 5.0 is going to run out of steam around 5k, and probably won't be that impressive vs even a stock 6.0. If you are going to do it, do a 331 turbo set up. That would be interesting.

the 5.0 motor is modded and has a 5speed. its not real fast but its modded a little bit.

the 98 firebird is a 3.8 5speed

i'm not saying i'm doing it.. i was curious if its possible though.

Hell do it for ***** and giggles. Don't expect to much out of the car though. I would just sell the 5.0 and T45, part out the wrecked car and do a 6.0 swap. I guarantee you will be happier with it.

Chevy=big motors
Ford=small cars
The reason people put chevy motors in ford cars. Better hp to weight ratio. With using a smaller motor in a heavier car you are making less hp to lb.

It would probably end up being as fast as the car was with the 3.8 V6. Those 94-95 5.0's are real turds when it comes to making power.

Sure it can be done with fabrication, but I highly doubt anyone makes a swap kit to do it so it would have to be all custom fab on the mounts and wiring.

It would be a far better idea to part out the Stang, and put the money toward at least a cheapo 5.3 Chevy truck motor, you could even do a 6.0 fairly cheap. As much time and money as it would cost to do the stang motor for what you got out of it would be so much worse an idea than just getting a LS style motor for it. In the long run it might even be cheaper to do the LS style motor too since there will be less fabrication. And the car will be way faster, even with a cheap 5.3 truck motor vs the 5.0.

you would have to use a rear sump oilpan and pick up tube from an 79 ltd/crown vic and fab up some mounts.The fuel injection set up and computer is a real POS on the 94/95 model.You should go with the 9al set up(89-93) or carb.it.It would sound amazing with some flowmasters and would do some good first gear burn outs and the red necks would go nuts but other than that it is a bad idea.

Might as well put a Honda or Toyota turbo motor in it. I'd put that 5.0 in a Late 60's Mustang just my .02

if you wana do it, do it. I'm not really seeing a benefit though. dont matter what everyone else thinks
I have a 5.3 turbo'd 99 GT, all the ford guys hate me, esp since I've got less money in one of my ls1 z28s AND the turbo gt than they do in a supercharger. lol.

on the real, it will run like a v6 firebird though.

a 5.0 is only what 225hp? your 3.8 is 200. seems like a waste of time/money
