Default Convertible subframe install... remove stock SFC?

I'm looking to upgrade my convertible '98 Trans Am to Kenny Brown double diamond subframe connectors... I'm aware that the car already has stock subframe connectors on it -- are these to be removed when installing the KBDD's? If so, is this an easy thing to do?

Thanks.........

The "connectors" are really just additional sheet metal
that makes a continuous "rail" front-back. You wouldn't
want to try removing it. Just add to it if you want.

Nothing is removed in the installion. Just fit them up and weld. It has been suggested the car be on a drive-on lift so the chassis is loaded for installation. I have pics of them installed on the last page of my site.
