Shifter bolts hitting console mount?

Default Shifter bolts hitting console mount?

I just bought this 01 WS6 and I hit this mounting tab with the bolts when I shiift into 6th. I'm new to the T56, what's up?

I know there have been other posts about this however - this is a great opportunity to get rid of that wet noodle (rubber bushing in the middle of the stick) and get a solid "short stick." The bolts will sit farther in and you'll get a much better feel.

I'd be inspecting the undercarriage for previous accident damage.

Front bumper's darker than the fender.. think i'll just cut what I can out of the way and go with it.
