Default Drumroll please.....NOT

Ok, I have taken the car to a shop and they said the exhaust is just too big to fit under the car the right way *sigh* How can I tell where the Y is banging on the car? I looked under at idle but it only happens when i am driving, and i am going insane because of it! What remedy's have you guys found?

General rule of thumb is....you need about about 1/2" of clearance between the exhaust and the frame. Slide your finger over the top of the exhaust pipe...if there is a place where your finger stops...that is a good place to start looking for clearance problems. I would say the most likely spot is the drivers side of the y-pipe.

i'd try the poly motor mounts. they keep the engine really still. i only put one on the drivers side and my motor hardly bounces at all anymore. it used to bounce all over the place and my x-pipe would hit. now, nada. i also did not get any noticable vibrations from it.

here's a thread on it:
