Convertible Vehicles - what kind of race weight are yall pushing??

I need all the help I can get for my car.....Im trying to get down to 3250lbs with me in the car. Im 200lbs.....The car has bull tublar suspension, Aerospace front and rear breaks....I have been looking into getting aftermarket spindles....wondering how much weight it will save....anybody have any advice on where to look to take weight out? I cought wind of a guy with a race weight of 3100lbs with him in it....didn't know if they were full of shit or not......


how light have yall SEEN a 4th gen TA vert go??

last year i ran 9.40@149 @3590lbs......Sense then I put front and rear aerospace breaks, took the passanger seat out, fuel tank in favor for a 3 gallon cell....thanks a ton guys...

the car would have gone 9.2@150 plus on that pass.....had my timmer real high so I wouldn't spin.....here are some pictures of my car....

car will hopefully have a 6-speed in it by the end of next summer.......

3580 without me in it. Did you go the manual top route yet? that'll save ya a few lbs but not much....Have you gone through most of the car from a lightening stand point?

Is this a track only car? One thing you can do that is old school is take a 1/2 hole saw and go all through the sheet metal and.... Well you got the idea, lol...

Hahahaha well I'm about to break the plasama cutter out and go to work.....found a lot of useless shit that's going. I'm wanting to set a realistic goal of 3300lbs....if it goes lower great, if not oohhh well....I will keep yall updated. Car will hopefully run 9.5's with a 6-speed on 1 stage and hopefully 9.3's on both......

Nice ride! How long have you had it? Did you by chance purchase it in Waterloo, IL... near St. Louis, MO?

An old racer once told me that to take 100lbs out of a car, look for 100 places you can take out a pound. If you look really close there are a lot of places to pare some weight.
