Default Vin ID from ECM??????

I bought a supposedly low mileage LS2 which had tons of carbon on the pistons so I am trying to find out if I can get the VIN number from the ECM so I can carfax it. Any help would be appreciated. The vehicle was a 06 TBSS with the E40 ECM.

Default block numbers

The only numbers I can find on the block are the casting number of 12568952, a number on the front of the block machined pad 6005231059, and a number next to a barcode looking symbol in the rear of the block X110184. Make any sense to anyone????????
