Default 2002 Camaro ss with 16,000 miles

Hey guys im new to the forum and im looking to sell my 2003 silverado ss with a procharger and other mods for a low mileage camaro under $20,000. I was looking for some for sale around me and i found one that is 10 miles from my house and it has only 16,000 miles on it. It is the slp package and its a 2002 camaro ss. It has leather seats and no mods other than the exhaust. They are askin $17,888 for it and i have been in the market for a camaro of this year before and this sounds like a great deal and i figured i would ask around to make sure before i went and made my purchase. I would definately test drive it and everything first but im wondering if i could get some insight on whether or not this is priced fair. thanks.

yeah my truck was 20,000 and it had 53000 miles on it. it has 70000 miles on it now and i would like to see if i could get a trade down with cash in hand for it but i doubt it. but yeah it would be a sweet car in my hands to go off to college with

If you're going to college wait or buy one for much cheaper. Having a nice, clean, low mileage car like that at college is a horrible idea. Put 10k miles on it, some door dings and scratchs from school, and your $18k car is worth ~$11k after a year. You can find low mileage ones for around $10k and not have to worry nearly as much.

well i plan on getting a small motor bike or something that gets better gas mileage to commute and just keep my camaro in my town home but that is true college would not be good on a car lol

i don't think a 16k mile ss is worth 10k there's no way anybody would let theirs go for that. i think its reasonable for what they are asking its clearly not cut up and abused like most of these cars are. if its truly what you want by all means try and get it cheaper, but i don't think its a bad idea

Yes, the car is worth every penny of $16,000 or $17,000 with that kind of mileage provided it is one or two owner and a clear title with no issues. A price premium is involved with low mileage like that. Stock is good meaning most likely it wasn't abused. Not always the case but more likely than not. If you could get a maintenance history of the car then that would be a plus as well. Changing all the fluids can get pricey if you can't do it yourself. All fluids are due because of age, not miles. Something to 'dicker on price' about, as well as the tires if they are original. 8 year old tires would need to be replaced. Good luck in your negotiations!

Dont take a 16k mile SS to college. Just a bad idea. But yes a 16k mile mint condition SS should get around 18 thousand.
