Default oil pressure sensor/ guage

I recently bought the oil pressure relocation kit from the Junkman write up and it's awesome to see that the idle pressure is set at 50 psi. I have one problem... on the write up it was said that if some pressure is being read at the gauge cluster with the engine not turned on that it's either your guage or the sensor. I have two sensors, one that I know of was working perfectly, other the fact that it was leaking oil but I received no pressure reading when switched on and pressure when the car was running. The other is a brand new one that I can't confirm whether it's working or not because of this problem.

I switch the car on and the pressure stays pegged at 80 psi. When I turn the car off it stays pegged at 80 psi. Now my question is, Is there any way to test these sensors? Any information will be greatly appreciated.
