1) Is it an SS model or a Z28 model? Only the SS model was eligible for SLP modifications from the factory. These modifications (11 of them) are listed below.

2) To verify if the car is a true SS model: Look on the drivers side door jamb. You should be able to locate RPO code # WU8. If the car is an SS, check the passengers side door jamb; here, if applicable, you will find a sticker from SLP listing the modifications done to the car.

3) Although he says it's a 35th Anniversary model, this most readily refers to the 35th Anniv Limited Edition cars; that said, this is not a sign of deception. This is a common misconception, since all 2002 Camaros have a 35th Anniversary dash plaque.

11 SLP options in total, and they could be ordered in any combination:

1) Intake/Exhaust (all four of these exhaust options were ONLY available in 2002)
-335HP Dual-Dual Performance Exhaust System [Cost:$594 , MSRP:$699 ]
OR
-335HP Center Mounted Performance Exhaust System [Cost:$899 , MSRP:$1059 ]
OR
-345HP Dual-Dual Exhaust Performance Package with High Flow Induction System [Cost:$849 MSRP:$999]
OR
-345HP Center Mount Performance Package with High Flow Induction System [Cost:$1159 MSRP:$1359]

2) Grille
-Camaro SS front grille (N/A on 35th Anniversary models) [Cost:$212 , MSRP:$249 ]

3) Wheels
-17X9", chrome plated, 10 spoke style, Camaro SS aluminum wheels with choice of SS logo center caps or bowtie logo center caps (N/A on 35th Anniversary models) [Cost:$849 , MSRP:$999 ]
OR
-17X9", chrome plated, 5 spoke ZR1 style, Camaro SS aluminum wheels wheels with choice of SS logo center caps or bowtie logo center caps (N/A on 35th Anniversary models) [Cost:$849 , MSRP:$999 ]

4) Tires
-BFGoodrich g-Force 275/40ZR17 tires [Cost:$764 , MSRP:$899 ]

5) Suspension
-Bilstein Ultra Performance Suspension [Cost:$934 , MSRP:$1099 ]
OR
-1LE Suspension Package [Cost:$1650 , MSRP:$1899 ]

6) Differential
-Auburn High Torque Performance Differential with AAM Cast Aluminum Cooling Cover [Cost:$764 , MSRP:$899 ]

7) Deck Mat
-Rear Deck Mat with embroidered SS logo (35th Anniversary models receive unique mat) [Cost:$84 , MSRP:$99 ]

8 ) Floor Mats
-Premium Front Floor Mats with embroidered SS logo (35th Anniversary models receive unique mats) [Cost:$84 , MSRP:$99 ]

9) Car Cover
-Custom-fit Camaro SS Car Cover with locking cable and tote bag (35th Anniversary models receive unique cover and tote bag) [Cost:$135 , MSRP:$159 ]

10) Key Chains/Dash Plaque
-Two Camaro SS key fobs and dash plaque [Cost:$42 , MSRP:$49 ]

11) SLP Commemorative Portfolio
-Commemorative Portfolio that Includes: (See below) [Cost:$49 , MSRP:$59 ]
**Note: This is the regular SLP Camaro SS portfolio, not the 35th Anniversary Edition Camaro portfolio that was part of the GM 35th anniversary Edition Camaro package.

Oh, by the way, everything above is under the assumption that you're in the market for one of the V8 models: Z28 or SS - and I make said assumption because this is LS1tech.

However, when I say that only the SS is eligible for SLP modifications - I should also place a caveat in that the 2001-2002 V6 models were eligible for both an "RS" upgrade, which consists of ground effects and badges, as well as the "Y87" (RPO code) Performance Handling Package and limited slip differential. I believe both of these packages involved SLP involvement - don't quote me on that though.

Nothing wrong with that. The "SLP Badge" is something that never came on any of these cars from the factory, and therefore, there is no "standard of essence" with regards to what the badge actually means.

Anyone who is fooled into thinking a car with an SLP badge is a factory example has clearly not done their homework. I have one on my car; however, it is indeed an SLP SS with ample second sticker content.

I have a 99 SS that has the SLP options as well. These weren't just allocated for the 02's. But the original owner didn't get the SS badge floor mats... cheap bastard, lol. I wanted an 02 Anniversary SS but found a 99 SS with 11000 miles in Ft Lauderdale and was mint, so couldn't turn it down. So all I did was put the checkered stripes on from Phoenix Graphix and a set of the polished aluminum and black rims on it. Car only has 12138 miles now. Not a true anniversary but could care less. Everything put on can be taken off easily enough. The center dual exhaust exit is nice as well... too bad the cheap bastard didn't order those as well, lol.
