General Maintenance & Repairs - Factory Bose head unit - display flickering, volume level reacting to headlights ect?

The factory BOSE head unit in my 93 z28 is on the fritz. The display is sometimes lit, sometimes not, and sometimes it flickers. The volume fluctuates when you turn the running/headlights on as well. I haven't modified anything on this car, but I have no idea what the previous owner has done. I got it this way.

Any ideas on where to look to fix this or what it could be?

Could just be a bad/loose/dirty battery or alternator connection.

My Monsoon DID the same. ... As of late, my stereo doesn't work at all anymore.

lol that's not good news, I'll check the connections on the Alt first
