Does anyone know of a paint shop in the oceanside, ca area that is good and can do some custom work. I am willing to travel a little bit.

Too many factors.
IMO start asking around locally, go to cruises and if you see something you like, get a name. Start researching.
Be honest/realistic about what you want. Depending on prep work, meterials, and the skill of the painter, this will vary your price. Also the shop will do the engine bay and jams. BTW I have been out that way in Cali and love Rubies on the boardwalk!
