Default Which clutch for my dd bolt on car? Spec or C6Z06?

I have a 2000 SS with lid, cutout, drag radials, and a kit on it.. Not making a whole ton of power, but will be adding headers to that mod list in the next few weeks..

I am now into clutches for the car and cant decide, I have two options, Spec3+ or a C6Z06 flywheel with the LS2 flywheel? I can not break the rear right now, which is what im scared of with the Spec.. because I think its going to grab harder. AND, I know that the Spec has a TON of pedal pressure compared to the C6Z clutch..

What should I do so ill be safe and the clutch wont stick like the stock one and will grab well, but at the same time, not kill my rear end.?

first get a new master cylinder or drill mod/bleed your hydraulics because that's probably the cause of the sticking pedal, then worry about the clutch because there's no way a master that can't handle a stock clutch is going to be able to push a spec or ls7

Well, Im going to do that too.. But I know that making a little over 500rwtq, the clutch probably needs to be upgraded from OEM dont you think?

I was going to put in a 2001 master cylinder while I was in there..

clutch definitely needs upgrading yes, but don't forget the importance of a good master. if you have the money go with a Tick

Ok.. Say I was going to hold off just another 2 months on changing clutches.. My clutch does not slip at all, to my knowledge anyway.. Its just the sticking clutch pedal that gets me.. What are the steps I should take to solve this problem?

Have you considered a Monster Level 3? It has an almost stock pedal feel and can be slipped pretty easily for daily driving.

Give me a call at the shop and I can answer any questions you may have and get one coming your way!
