gas station smell poor idle and dies at lights

Default gas station smell poor idle and dies at lights

poor idle
rpm little less them 800 sounds great but dies alot
gas smell
afr varies from 14-19
i get o2 lean codes and p0300 with in 1 min of start up
when i clear it it stays gone until next start up
little bit if surging at cruising hardly noticeable (accell and decel)
dies at lights

mods
228r cam
afr heads
haltech intake
long tubes and full exhaust

wot is great 12.2 afr and runs strong
what should i be look at or looking for ?
how do i correct these issues

You need a tune. That is all there is to it. Once you get one, there will be no problems at all.

Yah, adding cats into the equation again (assuming they are deleted in the long tube setup) is a good idea.

Is this a new issue? Was it already tuned and running right and then this issue came up? If it has never been tuned get a hold of Brain, he is a local tuner in your area and he has a dyno. If it as already tuned, I would be looking for bad plug, coil, plug wire, maybe even an o2 sensor. Which o2 sensors are you using with the lt's? Have you checked compression? First thing to troubleshoot is the mechanical, then the tune, again that is if it is already tuned, never blame the tune first.

Like the other posters said, removing the cats will certainly cause the gasoline smell and lean codes. The P0300, surging and dying are more likely because of the cam I would think. All of this should be fixable with a good tune.
