raced a g8 gxp and grand prix gxp I wish i had a camcorder ...... the g8 gxp was stick (not sure if they all are) the gp gxp was my buddys first time we got to race he has magnaflow mufflers and a K&N CAI....... from a dig i kept up with the g8 untill he got traction loll then he just took off like a bat outta hell my buddys gxp slowly eased back from me idk why mine was faster mine is 100% stock 
the g8 guy stuck around so we ended up doing10 differnt runs and each time it was the same result....... that g8 gxp sounded sexy and was FAAASSTT!!

Dang you got lucky you even got to run a G8 gxp. There were only about 1800 produced and less than half of those were M6. Sweet ride though, I wnna trade my GTP up for a GXP.

Yeah, congrats on seeing a GXP, I've seen 3, white, black, and red, all A6. And you may have gotten a slight jump on your buddy, I raced a stock one and lost also, lol, he jumped and I had more weight, though.
Also, ftr, G8 GXPs are 12 second capable stock.
And in my eyes faster than the new Camaro.

I think every car is different, maybe yours is maintained better, could be the gas, a lot of factors when two of the same models run. I've beaten and lost to stock GXPs.

well this is a noob question but is there any difference between racing in tap shift compared to auto? i was in tap shift and my buddy was in auto hes saying thats the reason he lost

tap shift is dumb like that to once you shift into second you cant drop back down to first unless you under 40mph another one of pontiacs safety concerns (G reader not availible while moving)

Ya I'm the buddy with the 06 gxp and lost
it seems like in auto the car shifts. And just slows down:/ hope the tranny goes out so I can get a new one under my warranty
P.S- ANYONE KNOW HOW TO MESSUP THE TRANNY WHERE IT'LL STILL BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY????
