Default Turbo-LQ9-T56 96 Blazer

Here is a shot from after the flood. I scrapped the 87 longbed S10. Most of everything needed to be rebuilt or replaced.

The new truck, 1996 2wd blazer

Rebuilt GTO t-56: Converted to f-body to use MGW shifter

Rebuilt LQ9, forged rods/pistons, stock crank.

99 f-body brake conversion on belltech spindles

Where did you get the brake conversion parts and do they work on a 1st gen truck?

Not much to update as the Blazer has been moved to my new house as well as all the parts. I should be finalizing the move in the next month or so and with the new garage some progress will be seen. If you can believe it, the roof decided to leak at my work and land right on my new short block. Some WD40 and fresh oil and everything seems to be cool. Here is a parts pile shot before it all got packed up for the move.

Long time on the update but have had a ton going on lately. Wheels are definitely Soft 8s from summit, the brackets for the brake swap were from flynbye and we turned down the rotors to make the hubs. PM me if you would like more info, I will try to be getting on here more now that I can actually work on my truck.

Such a big update I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Stock width 9" with GM ends

98+ fbody brakes to match the front

Fronts mocked up

Good crossmember clearance, hopefully engine isn't too high.

test fit, hopefully new A-arms give the added clearance for rear of the manifold to make an easy connection. Decent room for a down pipe also

Decided I need one more rim, full size matching spare looks great.

ARP studs

Z06 cam, LS2 chain

LS7 lifters

LS9 Headgaskets

Got rid of the jumbo cal vu mirrors and switched to some strippers, 29 bucks shipped!

Last night's progress...
