Default What would be better?

I am planning a swap into my 72 Nova and have thought about adding a Procharger later on down the road. I was thinking LQ9 but I have heard that the LQ4 is better for FI because of the dished pistons that come in it. The car will not be used for drag racing or anything so I will not be pushing lots of boost just a little kick. The car will be built in stages so it will be with out the procharger for a while, so I want something that will be stout NA as well.

Do the LQ4. They can make plenty of power NA and would be better boosted then the LQ9. I have a 99TA that I put a LQ4 with LS6 intake and MS3 cam auto car and it made 383rwhp on a mustang dyno. And with all that said the LQ9 is hard to find also.

Are you planning on rebuilding this motor?

If I can find a running one, I will go as is for a while until I'm ready to boost it, then I will do a good rebuild on it. I would like to do the L92 heads with LS3 intake.

Buy a LY6. Either keep the VVT or delete it. I find more LY6s for the same price as a LQ4s. More times than not, even cheaper. I found a 08 LY6 w/30K for $1400.00 + $50.00 for the ECM
