Fueling & Injection - Racetronix pump question

The pump I have in the car now (1986 camaro) is a walbro 255 and is taking a crap. I have a racetronix 255 pump but it says on the box "for plastic tanks only" I thought a fuel pump was a fuel pump. I have no type of bucket,setup on my car. So will this pump work???

Come on guys... I need to know if I should do it today or not.

You need to buy a pump designed for a 3rd gen f-body instead of cobbling something together.

If you want the correct Racetronix pump let me know.
