Alright I searched, anyways I own a 2001 Trans Am and the gears started going so now I'm having 4.10 installed and I was wondering if Its worth upgrading the limited slip..?

The stock Zexel Torson works is as strong as you need in a 10 bolt (something else will break first). The only reason to change is if you want different lock up characteristics for autocross when you power out of a corner (like the T2R).

Well, another reason I was asking is because I can have a Detroit true trac installed and just pay for the part not labor.. Just don't know if it's worth the extra money. And if it's any "better" than the Torson?

Torsen is a limited slip so I don't even understand your question.

I'd put the money elsewhere, the gears are probably gonna shred before you get a chance to break the torsen you have now.

You're probably right. Unless the car is an automatic and the torsen isn't working, I wouldn't put money into the differential. I have seen too many of these 10 bolt rears strip all the teeth off the gears. Bob
