I have not ported 1 but every one says the ls6 intake is better.any 4 bolt alum intake is better then a ls2 .a fast 78mm intake is better.it only best a ls1 intake.you can get a fast 90/92 intake for $650.

well my tb is a 90mm wouldnt it be pointlss to have an intake that was only 78mm? and you cant get an ls2 intake for $200 and a very good chance i could find one even cheaper than that, im just having a pretty hard time justifying a fast right now

LS2 is just about the worst OEM intake there is, its about a tie with LS1 for being the worst. Don't get hooked on throttle body size between the LS2 and LS6.

The FAST will make the most power, and across the board. But its costs more than the LS6.

The LS6 will make 10-15hp less than the FAST, and is typically a budget style upgrade.

The LS2, I wouldn't use on anything performance oriented, ported or not. They leak internally that's why they suck so bad. I would only use it to get something on the road and plan to change it ASAP.

Wasnt there a company that cut the snout off the LS2 and put it on the LS6 intake to give you a LS6 intake with a 90mm throttle body? Anyone ever tested one of those?

TPIS Inc. sells an LS6 manifold that is resnouted to 90MM. Since the real restriction on the LS6 manifold is the 78mm throttle body limitation rather than the runners, it works very well. The cost (about $850) on those is pretty close to the cost of a new FAST however, unless you already own an LS6 intake manifold to use for a core, which reduces the cost to $350.

I had the TPIS/90 on my LS6 and later upgraded to a FAST 102 with the same 90mm TB. The FAST 102 is a far better solution.

Gary I wish I could find a fast setup for 650,if anyone has one hit me up,a member on here is doing a intake dyno test ,I don't think he has done it but (Bobsmyuncle) is gonna test his ported ls2,ls6 against a fast 90,honest though the ls2 isn't all that great I would stick with a ls6,I'm gonna get a hold of a fast 90,but its a head/ms4/spray car,if your all ready making really good power a fast intake might be better for ya,but ya can't beat the 300 dollar ls6,

Wieand = LS6 for power, but is heavy and absorbs heat unlike the plastic manifolds.

If you can scratch together the money, the FAST is the way to go. I have a 102mm FAST with a 90mm TB on it. Ive had the FAST 90mm, the FAST 92mm and now the 102mm. I can always get most of my money back out of them because they retain their value.

You know why there are so many LS6 intakes avaliable? Because everyone buys them, and they cant stand knowing there is 15hp sitting on the table. So they sell their LS6 and get a FAST.
