Anyone have this problem? Well like the title says does anyone have this problem , it seem like the clear coat from between the doors is coming off. My buddy had the same problem on his Impala but he was under bumper to bumper warranty. Just curious to know if its just a certain year with this problem and /or if its just on a certain color

Mine did that on all but the mirror pieces. I tried painting two of them, but failed! I went ahead and spent the money on a brand new set and someday I'll try painting the old ones again.

i have an 07 and have the same problem. The 08-on have the newer style which does not have this problem. However you will lose the glossy look as these new ones are more textured. Will cost you to replace them all besides the mirrors around 200 bucks.

no issues with that on my 2006 Monte... and it's got almost 100k miles on it, and been through 5 CT winters so far...

for the people who dont have this issue with an 07 and older, do you take your car through the car wash often? I am wondering if that leads to making it do that with the high power sprays chipping it away.

Well since I had an hour lunch today I decided to not wait until wednesday to go to the dealership. They said that the only warranty for the paint was 36,000mi. Damn Bastards!!! So since I was already there I asked for an estimate for all 6 moldings total with labor was $579.00.

They're super easy to replace, BUT don't buy them from the dealership. They'll still F* you on the price. I got mine from gmpartsdirect.com and paid about $310 shipped for the 6 pieces(not including mirrors)
