Looking to buy a good cam and heads combo thats not to bad on the budget, and puts out a good amount of both power and torque.

I have a G5x3 cam from LG motorsports and some AFR 205s that Tony Mamo ported. I will sell you them. PM me if you are interested.
With that combo and a FAST manifold and throttlebody you should have over 470 rwhp. The heads have a 60cc combustion chamber.
I am selling b/c I want the 245s and a custom cam for my LS3 based 416.

Depending on price KIDRENO21 might be just what the doctor ordered..Check out TSP they have grea prices on there heads and cam combos. I would go with the torquer 2, stage 2.5 243s and a ss3600 stall and 373 if it were me. good luck!!

There are a TON of great budget combos out there that will make great power and offer reliability on the streets. I went with PRC Stage 2.5 5.3 heads milled down to 60cc mated with a TrickFlow 228 cam. Very streetable combo. If I would've had it to do all over again, I would've gone with a slightly larger cam with the understanding that spacing starts to become an issue.
1st on the list needs to be the stall. Once you have the right stall you'll truly be able to enjoy the added benefits of the heads + cam. A 3.73 in the rear would really wake things up for you as well.

Thanks for the input so far. I was looking into a Torquer v2 with ported 243 heads or prc 5.3l stage 2.5, and somewhere around a 3200 stall, from what ive heard so far it sounds pretty streetable for a dd. The budgets going to be somewhere around 4k.

N/A I ran the TV2 with a 4300 stall, and it was a fun DD car. The big converter was the best mod I think I have done so far. After N2O I had to tighten up the converter to get it to shift right, now it"s around 3400 on motor which is still plenty for the street.
