Last night there was a mini windstorm that blew through. We had like 45 mph gusts or something crazy like that. Well I was at the store getting some stuff for my quad. As I was getting ready to leave, it was like a bad dream ha ha. I saw this cart come flying across the lot. Then it was slow motion I had no time to react and I couldn't go anywhere so it smashed the front of the T/A. I have a nice blue scuff on my front pass fender and a couple little ones down the side where it skidded the rest of the way down. I'm going to try and buff them out today after I take the car through the wishy washy since it is nasty looking because all it has done is rained for four days now. I hate winter in Ohio.

Man that sucks... I've had some misfortunes like that as well... I had a large tree branch fall on top of my formy at my friends house. Gouged the wing and a bit of the quarter panel. Also had a cart, or car hit my car outside of my work(busted blinker and dented fender) but I'll never know who or what exactly did it... Fortunately that was in my gas saver/DD(93 toyota tercel) but it still sucks:(

I would have reported it to the store the cart came from and make them fix the damage which they r responsable for .

That would work except they have huge signs out in the lot that says they aren't responsible for damage caused by loose carts. FML ha ha.

This happened to me as well. Just a few days after I bought the G35, I parked the car in Wal Mart to do some groceries w/ the fam and when we got out after our shopping, at least four shopping carts hit our car all around from the wind storm at the time. The cart boy was laughing at our misfortune. I wanted to punch the kid with a fist full of my keys but w/ my kids were around, I just gave him the look "stfu or I'll wipe the grin off of your face".

The store can't be held responsible for the actions of its customers. It's amazing how lazy people are... they can't walk 10 feet over to the cart return so they just leave their cart in a parking spot.
When I go to a supermarket I always park far out, and try to park near an island that will act as a barrier between my car and rolling carts.
