Default Best way to make my car quiet(er)?

Currently, I have a full exhaust. Pacesetter LT's and ORY, and a Loudmouth II. The setup was fine before I installed my cam. Now i'm throwing off way more than 95db and getting pulled over left and right (New Jersey ). What's the best recommendation to quiet this thing down. Is it easier to swap resonators or just get a different catback all together? I'm not cheap, but the less expensive this turns out to be.

I think it would be easier to grab a new cat back. Any setup with resonators is going to be loud when there are no cats on the car. Going with magnaflow would be my first recomendation.

It's been awhile since I've compared catbacks, but is Magnaflow really that much quieter than a LM II? I have to pull up some videos once I get home.

The Magnaflow is almost too quiet in my opinion. It's one of the quietest cat backs and way quieter than a LM2.

In my opinion yes. LM II uses a bullet style muffler where as magnaflow has a chambered style muffler. It still makes good power but cuts down on the sound quite a bit. Another way to get the car quiet would be to put some catalytic converters on the car. They cut down on the rasp quite a bit.

I don't mind if it's too quiet, I just don't want to have to get rid of my Y-Pipe too. I'm hoping that for a new catback, I wouldn't have to jerry rig the piping to make it fit onto the pacesetter Y.

If I remember correctly a pacesetter y should match up with magnaflow pretty well.

and magnaflow uses a straight through muffler so you wont sacrifice any power.

The magnaflow will bolt up to the ORY without a problem. It's the exact same set up I use to run. I loved the way it sounded - at idle and lower throttle you could hear the cam but it wasn't loud. At WOT it gets louder (not like the LM tho), but it sounds good.
Kinda wish I woulda saved mine

Just to give you an idea of how loud this damn thing is.

That's my car at idle.... At a stop light with a cop behind me it's a surefire pull over.

Get a stock gm catback(used) from the camaros with the center mount exhaust. Then just have a shop weld the tips where you need them. This catback flows great and there is only a 5hp gain when opening the cutout on his 500hp 383ci. It's real quied and loud as hell when the cutout opens. get an electric cutout and get the noise only when you want it.

Get the Powerflo attachment to it. It make it very quiet. You can also run a cut out in the LMII place if you put the Powerflo in and take out the LMII bullet:

^ Yeah it is.. I have some videos of it but I can't self promote them, so I found the Owner's copies. His car: 2002 SOM SS, MS4, LT's, ORY, Hooker CB thru CME. Filmed from my car with a shitty camera.

^ That's pretty damn good! 0_o LT's? What else, because those numbers are pretty high for just a catback car.

How about simply replacing the LM II with another bullet 'muffler'.
Search for the 'Borla-Mouth' & similar stories.
There are many people who've swapped the LM II out because of the drone.
There's also a 'muffler' called an X-1 or something, ..., I'd have to search for it too, ...
Maybe that's the same story, I dunno yet, ...
