I have a crazy idea....light-up portholes!
I wanted to bounce this off of you guys to see if I'm insane or not.
Here's what I'm thinking. The fender is punched through behind the ports. You wouldn't see the bulbs at all.
- 4 amber leds that illuminate with a soft, warm glow.
- 4 2-way bulbs that would serve as side-markers/repeaters (like euro cars).
- 4 bright-*** amber leds that would resemble a raging fire spewing from underhood.
- white mini-led rope lights that would outline the shape of the port.
- reflective tape in the holes. (poor man's method)
I just might do this as crazy as it sounds and it would be super simple too.

I think I pioneered the vent signals on the GXP, I at least posted about it first, lol. At first, I used those little LED arrows, then upgraded to the clearance lights semis use. I know on the GXP the vent is easy to pop out, dunno what the procedure would be for the Super. I love it and get compliments on them, I say do it.
EDIT: Do sequiential LED strips.

10 bucks-ish, 2 lights, automotive double sided tape, and a little bit of wire. Very easy. DP sent me a PM about so I'll do a write up thread this evening. Only thing is that you have to tap in the wiring harness, probably another way, I'll look into it. Vincent, if you want I can do it if you want, next time I'm that way.

i would say wire them into the turn signal bulb so they are functional ... and whenever you wanna show them off just flip the hazards on ...
or just get a couple of those febreeze flameless candle things, some duct tape and be done with it ...

And the portholes come full circle:
"The source of this design feature was a custom car of Buick stylist Ned Nickles, which in addition had a flashing light within each hole each synchronized with a specific spark plug simulating the flames from the exhaust stack of a fighter airplane."

Now that's old school!
