Default T-56 differenses ?

Is there any way to tell, a '93 from a '94-'97, by looking at the outside only ? I'm going to look at a t-56 tomorrow, and need to know. Thanks in advance, Dean.

'93s have no skip-shift solenoid. The hole for it isn't even drilled/tapped

The cases interchange AFAIK.

If you can put it in 6th gear, one turn of the input will move the output exactly two turns on a 94-up box. It's more like 1.6 turns of the output on a 93 box.
