I flowed a new set of those a long time ago....more like 285 on the intake @ .600.

Decent head but not up to par with some of the newer stuff on the market today

Wow, i knew it was just under 300, but i didnt think it was that low. then again the 2E heads i believe are just ported LS1 heads. They definitely arent up there with newer heads like the AFR, TFS, or TEA.

But i think for 5-6 years ago, they were a strong head.

I have some 2001-2002 MTI LS6 stage 2R heads (I can't believe I spent so much on those heads at the time) but they sent me a flow chart and it showed that they flowed around 307 if I remember correctly. At the time I wasn't thrilled because they were advertising around 315. I later found out that was because they were testing them on a bigger bore for the ad. They were hand ported so I don't know if there was a lot of variation between heads or even cylinders. The car ran pretty decent though.
