Question Someone help ASAP please. Belt tensioner

My car is in a parking lot stock (serp belt broke) i have the belt back on, but have NO idea/way to get the tensioner lose. i got a serp belt tool, that can't reach ive trdy pry bar, im just at my wits end and no clue what to do. im so frusterated, any idea on how I can do this.. ughhh.. i dont know what to do with this belt tensioner. (its smushd between the block and the shock tower, if its the belt tensioner lol)

use a long bar to press down on it and see if it will rotate so you can put the belt on.

Personally I never had the tool and my best bet has always been taken the alternator off and wiggling it on and putting it back. Seems like a lot of work but for me has worked easier

We don't have a conventional tensioner if a hydraulic tensioner and doesn't go . Trust me

Was this supposed to make sense?

We DO have a spring-style belt tensioner. Just go to Autozone or wherever and rent the special belt tool. 30 seconds later the belt will be on.
