Just hit the 30s tonight where I live in central texas, and I when I go to start the car theres a strange knocking/rattle/clicking sound coming from what seems like the passenger side floor board. goes away a few seconds after start up. Doesn't sound like the motor is knocking. It's really hard to explain.

Just put in LCA's and a PHB. It's an 02 with 66k. M6.

Best way to describe it would be a pacesetter Y pipe hitting the floor board under WOT, but my exhaust is basically factory. My gaues are all where they are supposed to be, even on a start up.

stock motormounts? excessive engine movement on startup?

Thats probably it...she feels cammed at idle.

I'm guessing poly motor mounts?

next time before you start it cold just pop the hood and look at the motor while somebody starts it. i did the poly mounts when i had the exhaust out and im just glad i got it out of the way. no more engine movement, and now that im cammed it makes the biggest differance.

I will report back with findings.

I could literally start the car, it will make the sound, drive 5'. turn car off, restart car, and everything be normal.

I did a sick nasty power slide today, think toykio drift, could that have messed something up?

It's my console rattling I believe. Or something directly under it.

Went away by the time I backed it out of the driveway.
