New bullet will be a touch over 700 at the wheels (N/A). No 1/4 mile abuse intended but can expect the occasional spirited street runs. Not a DD either....just weekend therapy .

Current T56 has only 15k on the clock but would I be running on borrowed time? Swapping out the 10bolt for an S60 or 9", I feel the trans is going to be the weak link. Thoughts? Help and guidance is appreciated!

The high powered cars are very hard on the weak parts inside the transmission. If there is nothing wrong with your trans, I would strongly suggest having it upgrade with better parts that are known to fail over time. It's always cheaper to do it when you don't have any issues than when you do. These parts are the synchro keys, fork pads, 3-4 shift fork and blockers. TDP, RPM or Tick all have the upgrades.

You should be fine using a T56 at your power level. Upgrade the shift related parts prone to break and while you are at it, upgrade the output shaft to a 30 spline version that comes in the Viper.

With 700rw, I would definitely upgrade to the steel 3/4 fork, billet keys, and output shaft. Stock is 27-spline, and youre really pushing its limits above 650rw. Personally I like the 31-spline shaft upgrade over the Viper 30-spline. Or you can even go 32-spline if you also upgrade the gears/rings to triple cone. I can do the ring upgrade (Corvette-style) for $250 right now. Normally it is much more than this.
