Default wheel size?

hey guys so i was wondering what wheel size i would be able to fit on my 00 Z28, it has stock shocks, suspension, etc. and was wondering if i would be able to put 17 or 18 inch wheels on it?? or if i wanted to go that big what should i do? thanks!

17" up to 20" wheel should fit with no problems with the correct offset/back spacing, close to stock tire height, and a wheel width of 10.5" or less. FYI, a stock height tire on a larger wheel height will make the tire to fender lip gap appear wider. For example 245/50/16, 275/40/17, 275/35/18, and a 275/30/19 tire are all within 3/16" of having the same overall height, but the tire to fender lip gap will appear to get wider as you go up in wheel height, but it really doesn't. So you might want to consider at least a mild lowering to keep the gap from appearing unusually large, giving the car the off-road lifted look!
