Fueling & Injection - V8 pump for a V6? HELP!

Ok, I have been skimming the net for a while and every once in a while i see somthing about being able to use a LS1 fuel pump on a 3.8

SOMEONE TELL ME THIS IS TRUE

My pump went out and it would be cheaper for me to pick up an LS1 pump than a 3.8 pump because thats all i can find for cheap

so once again, someone please verify that i can use an LS1 fuel pump in my 3.8l

also, anyone know if you can just rebuild a pump or some magic trick to make it work again?

I'm pretty sure a Racetronix pump will work. I know the Lt1 and 3800 pumps are the same, but not 100% on LS1 pump.

I know some 99+ guys have used that in their 3.8ls. However I have no idea about metal tank 98 cars, probably the same though.
