Default New cam tuned vs untuned

Occasionally in this section I've seen guys asking how important tuning is after a cam install. Especially since a good tune costs as much as the cam!

Being a newbie at all this, I was amazed at the difference a tune made to even my baby EPS 222/226 113. It went from rough 363rwhp/347tq to smooth 394rwhp/376tq!

I just posted the results in the dyno section.

Tunes are pretty important when swapping a cam, the cam is basically what determines the events in the motor. Sometimes they are expensive but well worth it IMO.

Yea I think that's awesome results with a good tune. I have heard nothing about good results from those eps cams. I have been thinking about jumping on the bandwagon and getting something from PatG specd with those EPS lobes and ditching the MS4. Nice numbers enjoy

Yeah a lot of people settle with a mail in tune,it is such the wrong way to go,I can see getting one for a base tune to get to a dyno but the tune makes the cam and mods work, even my bolt on car with a tune felt a lot stronger
