Default Looking for ideas want to bump stock 99 ta up to 390-400 hp

Looking for ideas.. just bought the car a few weeks ago all stock wanting to do intake cam headers/exhaust any recommendations wont be a dd but want it to drive like one..
what else would you recommend doing to make as reliable as possible?

Long tube headers, true dual exhaust, lid, fast intake, F-13 cam and a good tune should get you there. You'll also need to change out your exhisting valve springs too.

EPS cam 222/226 ,ls6 intake and good exhaust,a frost tune.

A fast intake & tb, a cam, valve springs, lt headers a tune, if auto a stall and some gears

would guys recommended going to titanium retainers or reusing the originals?

well my shop used titanium locks on my settup. i am still useing the stock lifters as they are good for 1000 hp. my stock was 309 rwhp and i put in the tsp 238/252@ 600/605 112lsa, pacesetter longtubes, and a 3 1/2" custom exhaust, and i ended up with 399 rwhp and 389 rwtq. and i am still on the stock heads,intake,and bottom end! I am turning 6900 rpm with this settup and for 40000 miles and no retune yet! oh yea harden pushrods also!!!!

nitrous..... the quikest and cheapest way to reach 400hp either at the crank or at the tires, just a thought.
