Street Racing & Kill Stories - Raced me a 2006 WRX tonight

went for a cruise tonight with a mixed group of cars. Ended up running a subaru on the highway. My friend was telling me he has like 330whp and its stupid fast idk....

Anyways, went on 3 honks from 60-110ish by the time I let off I would say I had about 2-3 cars on him(dont look back much when im driving) and was pulling pretty good.
From what I know he said he has a vf40 turbo, bolt ons and an sti tranny. I know nothing about subarus really. After we stopped and talked some more all the guys were telling me how fast my car is(lol I told them its just a bolt on ls1 nothing special) and the wrx guy said I was pulling him hard.

Good kill.Beware of those turbo subarus from a dig.If driven properly they can be pretty nasty out of the hole but you can "usually" reel them in granted your not stock and they are not ridiculously modded.

Thanks man. He said hes planning on a bigger turbo soon to which I said good because Im planning on a camshaft soon. Then he proceeded to look a bit confused. he doesnt seem to know much about muscle because he also thought my car weighed 4k lbs

And upgrading them when he goes to a bigger turbo would benefit him tremendously. Stock cams seriously limit the output of subaru engines, but there's no need to tell him that.

A camshaft is probably the same thing as a crankshaft, or maybe one goes inside of the other.

If you can get some traction, you'll take it. Even if not, you'll run him down by 3rd gear. It's hard to go much faster than 1.7 on regular street tires and an unprepped surface.

Im not sure How well My nitto drags are gunna do on an unprepped surface either.....I wonder what he will say If I whip out a bottle of vht? lol

i got smoked by a STI in my 05 vette without the juice.....those cars seem to be either ridiculously fast or 14 sec cars.. i for sure respect them though...the wrx needs alot of mods though

They're all 2.5L boxer 4 cylinders in the US. Guy didn't have a clue what was under his hood.

I think Subaru only uses their Boxer 6 in there SUV and Legact GT but not in their Impreza's at all unless someone did a custom Boxer turbo(it been done !) Subaru definitely doesn't use "V" anything !

Nope, turbo boxer motors are in most subarus, including the WRX and STI

I know in the Impreza's they are boxer 4's and turbo is an option(WRX & STi). I used to have a 2004 STI !

Well I now for sure that the boxer 6 is not turbo in their Tribeca(Suv), Outback(optional boxer 6), and Legacy(optional boxer 6) !

Ahh, misunderstood you. I thought you meant that no boxers are used in the impreza, not no 6 cylinders.
