Pro 5.0 Power Tower Shifter in 98 ws6 question ?? help please
I have a 98 ws6..i got ordered the pro 50 power tower shifter for it. now i know there is only one way these guys go in..but when its in 1st gear it seems to be located more ti the right then the stock on was..like first gear us where about 3 gear or maybe even 5 should be..it just seems like all the gears are moved over to the right more then what it should be...i will take pics later to show..but i was just wondering if anyone else has this type of shifter and has the same problem..or if it is a problem
Thanks<

Did you use the stick that came with it? Its base (where you put the 2 bolts in) is angled to the left so it comes up just like the stock one did. If you use the stock stick it will come up to the right like you describing.

i order the short throw stick from ws6 store..i had the one that cam with it on there and i just needed a shorter one..im just not sure if i like the shifter, im thinking about putting the one i have on there now and bending it to make it more toward me a little

Thats why it feels like the gears are moved over. The Pro 5.0 and Hurst stick are angled towards the driver, whereas the WS6 store short stick is a straight stick. It has nothing to do with the shifter at all, just the choice of stick.

Did you make a nice bead with ultra black RTV for a gasket?? Thats also important to isolate it and help it seal.

try lou's short stick, i have it together with the pro 5.0 shifter and i think its the perfect combo out there. i think you can get it from afterthoughts for about 50 bucks..i think its angled perfectly toward the drivers side.
