Chevrolet Camaro 1967-2002 - Z28 vs SRT8 Charger

Hey I have been told by my wife that she would like to get rid of our 01 pewter Z28 A4 and get a SRT8 Charger so we have a 4door that is still fast. I am not knowing if I should I dont want to get rid of the T-tops. I just think the camaro is so much fun even know it is a A4. I got rid of 2 5.0's when I got the Z28. I already have beat a SRT8 challenger and charger at the 1/8 mile, so I know I am already faster just with a mac catback and a lid and filter. Would it be a good move to get the charger and to the same mods. And maybe have the same 1/8 mile times at my Z? thanks for any input

if your gonna go that route id look at a g8 but thats imo

id say the g8 is slightly faster due to being a little bit lighter, but its a ls motor cant go wrong with that :D

What about a 300 SRT8? Looks better IMO. Or if price isn't too big of a deal breaker - CTS-V Wagon - cause it's just bada$$ :D

Go for the G8. Get a GXP if you can afford it. It will run high 12's stock and own SRT-8 Chargers all day long. I have a G8 GT and with intake, full exhaust and tune I killed a SRT-8 that had intake and exhaust by several car lengths. Now that I have a cam its not even worth my time to race one unless it has a blower.

I've had a srt8 and have a G8 now, me and my wife miss my SRT8. Only thing is everyone has a SRT8, not that many G8 around

the 392 is going to be badass, but a 6.1's have been in the 50's stock with the same mph.

New srt-8 its a 10grand diff for 50 more horses over the Rt model. like.5 faster in the qtr.. When I bought my challenger I thought the srt-8 was retarded in comparison for the money.. Considering what can be done in the after market world for 10 grand on the 5.7.. Jus a lil idea to consider.
