Default Cold Hard Start

My wife has a 2000 Z28 and is currently in N.C. and we live in Orlando Fl. It has been very cold there and her car will not idle without throttle help til it warms up. After that it runs fine, but the gas mileage has dropped. I think It may be a choke issue. Will the PCM learn the new settings or should she disconnect the battery and make it relearn it from scatch? Or could there be something esle we should look at? Also the service engine soon light was blinking when cold and now is steady. Mileage is 150,000.
Thanks,
Ken

no choke on that car. Blinking mil = misfire. Have somebody with a scantool look at it. It will have a misfire history for the cylinder that was causing the mill to blink. Also probably has p0300 random cyl misfire code on it.
