Default which lifters to use

i am building a 421 out of a lq4 block i was wondering what lifters i should use should i stick with the stock ones or should i upgrade to the comps or morels this i the cam i have 259 267 .624 .624 115 with stock rockers with the trunion upgrade

I would upgrade the lifters if you all ready have it all apart. The factory lifters would mostly likely work fine however they weren't designed with the bigger cam and more rpms you will probably turn in mind. As for a specific recommendation someone else will have to chime in with their experience.

I would run Morel lifters and strong pushrods.

should i get the normal ones or the link bar ones has anybody used the comp short travel lifters

Might as well go for the gusto and go for the Morels.

I have the link bar and there pushin .645 lift and no problems.

There a lil $ but get what ya pay for.

You can use ls7 lifters on that setup no problem. Its just making sure everything is set right. Comp lifters are also another alternative.

If you are not on a budget Morels can't be beat. Just make sure preload is deadnuts on because they are not as forgiving as an LS7
