Im no tranny expert but I think you would be better off going with a larger pan on the tranny, B&M makes a nice one, I think that the truck pan is a little larger than stock doesn't hold as much as the b&M but is cheaper

I am using my stock cooler and then a B&M cooler after that. I have had this set up for only a few months with no downfalls yet.

Considering that the majority of the time the tranny temp rises is when your car is at a standstill, I think you would benefit more from a manual fan switch than 2 coolers. On the highway, my temp is never above 150, but when I come to a stop light, I can just flip a switch to keep the temps down.

www.slponline.com makes a good, easy to install fan switch. Just plug and play. Or you can make one.

It's a tight fit with the condensor & FTRA. Without AC, there should be a lot of room.

I would go with 24k B&M Supercooler and then add a good pan next. TCI makes a very nice unit. I have a Dearle which was a little less expensive.

Also put a 160 T-Stat in and use your HPP3 to set the fans to come on sooner. That helps too.

Adding a second cooler will probably increase the resistance of the fluid being pumped through the cooler. The above set-up (24k cooler, deep pan with fins, 160 t-stat & matching fan setting) works for just about everyone.

Yes, you can fit a 19K and 24K cooler in sequence with the condenser in there and it will provide significant cooling improvments with the manual fan switch added too. The man reason for adding the additional cooler was the Trans blanket which holds quite a bit of additional heat when it's on a daily driver.

The dual coolers and both fans on is enough to let my 10.56s car run three back to back runs on an 83 degree day without crossing 180 degrees for the trans temp. It makes a big difference in daily driving if you have a lot of surface street commuting or construction going on too.

There was a guy in the corvette forums that actually converted his AC condensor to a tranny cooler, just plumbed the lines into it. That might be an option.
