I want one of these cars sooooo bad. But the $41,000 price tag on a base model is way steep. Good design for rich people that can afford it...

Hmmm I could pay 40k for this car and still have pay for gas and electricity and some potential expensive repairs. Or I could buy a 16k yaris brand new and save the 25k to pay for gas. I wonder how any gallons that could buy me.

it would buy you a little over 5k gallons which yes is alot. but 40k is also before the rebates you get. and yeah you could buy a yaris.. but wouldent you rather buy a car thats gonna use 0 gas so long as you go less than 40miles and on top of that its American? i know i would. This is the perfect car for us LS1 guys lets us have a clean green car for the daily driving and then our monsters for goin out of fridays and weekends (and keeps the miles off our rides)

yeah u can buy a yaris but then you have to deal with the shame. the Volt is pricey but its an awesome car. The one I drove had gone 62 miles before the gas engine turned on. And that was different people driving it all day.And when I stepped on it, it was faster then I expected

more like 8k gallons, and i drive over 40 miles on frequent occasions so that is nothing huge. Also what will it do to my electric bill.
As for it being American, GM took my money and Toyota builds a better product. I am willing to bet the yaris will be a better car and cost less. GM is not hardly very American anymore.
Another thing do you know what a nickel mine does to the environment? They are horrible for it so it really is not that green except for the tailpipe.

I dont think the Volt really looks much more manly then the Yaris to be honest or any other econo box. I am surprised that the volt does look as good as it does not like the typical hybrid.

Never gonna happen.
...40k is also before the rebates you get...
That rebate and the gas guzzler tax is bullshit.

People just don't think things through. When gas was almost $4.50 a gallon everyone ran out & paid $4-5K over sticker for a Prius, there was a damn waiting list for one. I wonder if those stupid asses still like their Prius' now..The problem with most people is they are reactive instead of proactive.
