Does anyone have a Stock Nav system they'd be willing to part with? Or does anyone know where i can find one? Thanks!

Also consider the C6 Corvette (2005+) in your search as well. We share the same NAV.

There are a few minor differences:

- White LEDS vs. RED
- Smooth black surround vs. textured
- Corvette startup logo vs. Pontiac

Bonus: If you can get a 2010 C6 NAV, you'll get a USB port at the back that will connect your iPod and USB flash drive and it'd be provisioned for Bluetooth. You'll need a 2009+ Class 2 VCIM (OnStar module) for Bluetooth as well.

Personally, I would rather keep the six disc cd changer than have NAV. My phone works just fine for that.

Once again, opinions are like .....well....yea

Unless you have the crappy single cd changer non mp3 head unit like I had. Yuck. The Pioneer nav w/ mp3 & pandora is sooo much better.

Ah, a non believer!

Do you have any idea why the retention rate of the stock NAV in the C6 Corvette is so "high?" It isn't because of the wonderful (sarcasm) GUI, lol.

It's all about the NAV and HUD. And now that "we" have an iPod interface which displays track titles on the HUD, it's even more golden.

See, I did not know that there was iPod connectivity on these particular NAV units. I looked them up on ebay and they seem to run around $750. I might be getting a hold of you on how to get this sucker installed!

Sure. If I can't help you out I know of someone else who may be of some assistance.

So the Nav has only one CD? but you can connect an ipod to it? I saw something on youtube where the person connected his ipod to it but it was kinda a makeshift thing

One CD which can read MP3s and the PAL (official GM addon) with reads iPods/iPhones (via the 30-pin dock connector) and other audio devices (via standard RCA inputs).

Since this is the official GM accessory, you actually get real labels on the soft keys.

Read up: http://www.kawal.net/nav.htm

I think I'm going to start hyperlinking my mods, lol.

Are you sure about this part? I know the 07-up Tahoe/Yukon units that are compatible with the Impalas and Monte Carlos will change startup logos when programmed to the car.

For example, the unit I put in my Impala was from a Yukon. Before I got it programmed to my car with a Tech2, it showed the GMC startup screen before going to the lock screen. After the programming, we now get the bowtie.

Now, since the Vette/GP units are completely different, it wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't the case.

I know it's not very important, but it may not be an issue, either.

If you get a Lockpick from Coastal Electronics, you can add a rear camera, as well as an auxiliary audio input.

I have one of those that I'll be putting in my Impala. When I tested it, the quality was okay, as it's just a little CMOS camera, but hell, it's for backing up and you don't need 1080p HD!
