Default flickering dash with new hid kit

Just installed a ddm slim ballast hid kit + wiring relay harness and now my dash will randomly flicker off and come back on. Radio, head lights, and everything else will remain on however. What could be causing this? Do I need to use one wiring relay harness per hid light or is one fine? Maybe the ground or something else from the wiring harness is lose?

Also my hid lights are 55w 6k version

My 02 Z28 has been having an interior and exterior flickering light problem for 2 years now. It still has the stock cam in it. It has been driving me crazy! Any suggestions on what it may be would be awsome!!!

It seems like some people just have problems, and some don't. I've installed DDM kits in my lows, and fogs, same on another 98 Z I've got, and we did my friends 97 LT1, fogs and lows as well.

Didn't use the relay harness even though once I started reading about the problems people have had I started regretting not picking one up when I was done there buying the kits.

All 3 cars had no problems, no flickering on the dash, no defects whatsoever.

Meanwhile I've seen some people going through everything they can to fix their problems and there's never any progress in getting rid of them.

I think it's just the fact that every car is different. I haven't read about someone using a harness and getting rid of any gremlins either.

I had this issue for about 2 weeks after my cam. It was very slight but they flickered. Then all a sudden it just stopped, it didn't bother me anyways but I always wondered what it was because it seems some peoples lights flicker and some don't. odd

I just installed a ddm 55w 6k and also installed the harness to the battery and mine will flicker slightly. I have a cam in the car, could this be causing the problem? Is their a solution?

i had this problem on my V6 with my stock lights , had the alternator checked out, replaced a few parts , 2 years past no problem .. btw i run DDM HID's in my fogs and lows .. (both 35w) ..
Id probably go with a Big 3 , and if it didnt work , upgrade the alternator ..
